The head office and main laboratory of Southern.IML
Pathology is located in Wollongong, with a satellite laboratory
situated in Nowra. In addition, 44 licensed collection centres
are strategically located in population centres from Engadine in
Southern Sydney to Batehaven on the South Coast of NSW.
Our primary aim is to assist the medical profession to improve the
health and well-being of the community we serve.
We do this by providing a wide range of pathology and related
services. In addition to laboratory testing of blood and other
samples, we also provide occupational health testing, spirometry,
ECG, holter monitoring, fine needle aspiration and assistance
in hospital infection control programs.
Our state of the art Wollongong laboratory incorporates
Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank,
Histology and Cytology departments.
Our laboratories are equipped with modern instrumentation,
which is operated and maintained by a team of highly qualified and
experienced laboratory personnel. Our laboratories are fully
accredited with the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA ) and the Royal College of Pathologists of
Australasia (RCPA ).
